  1. I think of my mother at the taste of coffee..how she loaded hers with sugar and I would scold her and then we'd talk. I can reach out and feel the shape of Karma's skull under her silky fur and how she would put her warm paw on my forehead in the night.

  4. Lovely words Morna. Just send a card to the husband of my long gone friend: I remember her always when I'm in town drinking coffee in some special place (like we always used to do, before starting our shopping tour ;-) ....)

  5. This is so very sad... hard-to-swallow sad... it is so hard on one to miss... I must be too selfish... But I Love it.

  6. I'd missed your blog for a long time, and then I found you again, with a post that fits well into my life right now. There is no good time to lose your mother. xx But this message you posted... makes me wonder what 'lost' should mean.

  7. Hi, Morna. Thank you for posting this. Yes, the departed remain with us in a way. Something that must be faced. Hope you're able to do some good stitching lately and Happy Thanksgiving!
